Where it all began.

This is the very first traditional waist bead that sparked the creation of Queen’d Bijoux. Featuring deep sapphire blues, rich gold accents, and beads that glow in the dark, this piece embodies beauty that doesn’t disappear when the lights go out.

Symbolism:

  • Gold: abundance, power, divine femininity
  • Blue: depth, confidence, inner peace
  • Glow Ivory: hidden light, sensuality, and unseen beauty.

Details:

  • Traditional tie-on waist beads measuring about 55 inches per strand.
  • Glow-in-the-dark accents
  • Lightweight glass beads
  • Designed for everyday wear
  • Handmade with intention

Handmade in Ghana, these traditional tie-on waist beads are crafted with high-quality glass, Czech, and/or seed beads on durable cotton thread. Each strand is ~55 inches, non-elastic, and tied on for a custom fit.  A timeless adornment designed to celebrate all women.

● Price is for one (1) strand of waist beads.

● Each strand is sold individually.

● For a layered look, purchase multiple strands :)

Each strand is strung on durable cotton thread and is designed to be worn all day, including during activities such as swimming, sleeping, and bathing.

Traditionally, waist beads are worn “permanently” and remain around the waist as part of your everyday adornment. Therefore, you can wear your new waist beads even when you go swimming or take a shower.

How to Wear

  1. Wrap the strand around your waist or hips, at your preferred position.
  2. Remove excess beads from the strand and tie the strand into at least three knots Make sure there are not any gaps on the strand and all the beads are arranged neatly.
  3. Avoid tying the strand too tightly on you. It should rest comfortably against your body.
  4. Trim any excess strand material.

Weight Monitoring

Waist beads can be used as a simple way to monitor changes in your midsection.

  • If the strand becomes looser, it may indicate weight loss around the waist.
  • If the strand becomes tighter, it may indicate weight gain around the waist.
  • Waist beads are not a substitute for medical advice, professional measurements, or a health assessment.

Spirituality, Affirmations, and Personal Meaning

Care Instructions

  • These waist beads can be worn during swimming, bathing, and everyday activities.
  • Rinse gently with clean water after exposure to chlorine, salt water, or heavily scented products.
  • Avoid pulling, stretching, or snagging the strand in order to prevent the strand from popping. Wearing the waist beads too tight will also lead to them popping.

Sizing Tip

Measure your waist at the exact position where you intend to wear your beads. The strand should fit comfortably without feeling too tight or restrictive.
